Does Your Skincare Routine Need a Fall Reset?

Fall is here, but in Central Florida, that doesn’t always mean sweater weather. You may still be dealing with warm afternoons, time outdoors, and the same skin concerns you had all summer.
So, does your skincare routine need to change just because it’s October?
Not necessarily. I would rather help you make a few thoughtful adjustments than have you replace products that are already working.
Start with how your skin feels
When we review your routine, I want to know more than whether your skin looks oily or dry.
Does your face feel tight after cleansing? Are you noticing flaking? Have your usual products started to feel uncomfortable? Are you using several exfoliating products without realizing it?
Those details help guide the conversation. A cleanser, serum, and toner can each look reasonable on their own, but I want to understand how they fit together in your routine.
Bring your product names or photos to your appointment. You don’t have to memorize every ingredient.
Keep the basics dependable
A gentle cleanser, an appropriate moisturizer, and sunscreen provide a useful starting point. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
If your skin feels dry, that doesn’t automatically mean you need another exfoliating treatment. We can review your products and decide whether a change to cleansing or moisturizing makes more sense.
And if your routine is comfortable and working well, there may be very little to change.
Give your facial a purpose
You can want relaxation and still want your skin concerns taken seriously.
At SurrealSkin Spa, we discuss what you’re noticing before choosing how to approach your treatment. Your priorities may be hydration, congestion, uneven tone, or simply getting back into a consistent routine.
Our seasonal Autumn Glow Experience is another way to make time for your skin this October. It combines customized skincare with warm, fall-inspired touches and a relaxing hand and arm treatment.
The seasonal experience should still make sense for your skin. Let me know about any sensitivities, current products, or recent treatments so we can discuss suitability.
Start with a review, not a shopping spree
You don’t need to figure everything out before coming in. Sometimes the most useful first step is having someone look at what you’re already doing and help you decide what to keep, adjust, or simplify.
